5 Ways to Increase Website Conversions

If you're not seeing the conversions you want from your website there may be a few key things missing. Just having a pretty website alone won't generate calls/sales. 👏🏻

Let's go over these 5 things together!

1. Above the Fold Content

Above the fold means everything that can be seen when your home page first loads. So without scrolling, down they need to know within FIVE seconds or less what you do and how you can help them.

How do you do this?

👉🏻 Add a 1-2 sentence statement (in big font) telling them WHAT you do and HOW you help and WHO you help.

For example, mine is..."Custom web design & branding (what/how) for established small businesses (who) that are ready to launch or relaunch"

Which leads me to the next piece...👇🏻

2. Calls to Action

Your site visitors can't read your mind - so help them out by literally TELLING them what you want them to do.

Whether you want them to book a call, download something, sign up for your email list, or make a purchase you have to guide your visitor to take this action.

How do you do this?

👉🏻 Add sections with call out language asking them to do that thing you want them to do. Then add a button in a color that stands out from the rest of the colors on your site that allows them to complete that action once clicked.

Example👇🏻

A good example of this is having a button on your home page screen (above the fold) that prompts them to take action.

After they've read your headline and know what you do and how you help - that button guides them to take action. Ex. shop now, learn more, contact, etc.

3. Clear & Easy Navigation

You might have said "duh" when you read this one - but I can't tell you how many poorly structured websites I see.

Make sure to keep your navigation menu clear and clean. Site visitors should be able to navigate your website intuitively.

Pro tip 👉🏻 send your website to a few people - friends, family, clients, etc. and have them navigate through. Ask them to share their experience and if anything was confusing or hard to find.

4. Prominent Contact Info

Again, this might be another "duh" but how many times have you gone to a website and it took your FOREVER to find a phone number or contact page?

Make getting in contact with you 1 click away. Whether that's listing an email, phone number, or a direct link to your contact page.

5. Display Testimonials

Using testimonials on your website helps your potential client start to build trust with your brand. This is also referred to as "social proof".

How do you do this?

👉🏻Sprinkle testimonials throughout your site, especially your home, about, services, and product pages.

You can also have a dedicated page that houses ALL of your testimonials in one place!
